The Ohio Auctioneers Association is a non-profit organization, founded in 1942. Since that time, it has continued to grow in strength and fellowship and is an association committed to improving and promoting higher standards in the auction profession.
Vision Statement: The Ohio Auctioneers Association (OAA), through its members, will ENHANCE the perception of auctions to become the preferred option of buying and selling assets by 2020.
Mission Statement: (1) Foster an open and fair marketplace by protecting the auction option of buying and selling. (2) Increase the unity of Ohio’s auction industry to strengthen our voice in the market. (3) Develop the auctioneers and auction professionals of Ohio through relevant programs, networking, competitions and industry resources. (4) All this will be done in a transparent, open, honest and responsible manner.
Membership in the Ohio Auctioneers Association provides auctioneers with the opportunity to grow professionally as well as personally. OAA auctioneers are committed to promoting and preserving the auction method of marketing real and personal property.
Auctioneers owe it to themselves to support the profession that gives them the opportunity to earn a livelihood. The annual cost is small compared to the tremendous benefits received. The members of the OAA foster a network of auction professionals interested in sharing information and educating members, government officials and the general public on the auction method of marketing.
