Press Release for Laura Mantle

Laura Mantle, Auctioneer has joined the faculty at The Ohio Auction School, based in Groveport, Ohio.  Laura became an auctioneer at age 19 after working in the auction industry since she was 12.  Now 22 years old, she is one of the youngest auction school instructors in the United States.

Laura’s responsibilities at the school include teaching ring-work and bid calling at the school’s three terms per year.  She also assists the students with their benefit auction which typically raises in excess of $5,000 for area charities.  Faith Mission, March of Dimes, Red Cross and Pilot Dogs are among the charities that have benefited.

Before accepting her position as an auction schoolinstructor, Laura worked as a clerk, cashier, ring assistant and helped with setup at both onsite estate-type auctions and at a weekly consignment auction.  In addition to teaching, Laura continues to work 2-3 auctions per week, and has also been in charge of staffing and support staff management for other auctions, including The Super Auction held in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Laura is completing her undergraduate studies at Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio.  She will be graduating this spring with a B.A. in Business Administration.
